Role overview
Help AI systems learn from real software collaboration workflows in GitHub. You will demonstrate practical repository work and explain the reasoning behind each action so the project can build accurate examples and evaluations.
What you’ll be doing
• Complete tasks involving repositories, branches, commits, pull requests and issues.
• Demonstrate branching and merging workflows through screen recordings.
• Document each sequence clearly, including the purpose of the steps you take.
• Create prompts and grading guidance for realistic GitHub activities.
• Check recorded examples and written outputs for accuracy and consistency.
Who this could suit
Developers, maintainers and technical contributors with professional, project or open-source GitHub experience. Previous data annotation, human-feedback training or AI evaluation work is preferred.
What you’ll need
The stated education level is a bachelor’s degree. Preferred qualifications include hands-on GitHub and Git knowledge, access to the platform and confidence recording your screen while completing assigned workflows. You should be comfortable explaining technical steps in clear writing and reviewing details such as branch actions, repository changes and the outcome of each task.
You don’t have to match every requirement exactly. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds, levels of experience and transferable skills.
Pay and working arrangements
Remote contractor work paying $90–$175 per hour. Weekly hours are not specified.
