Role overview Help improve AI voice agents by producing accurate transcripts of recorded conversations. The project includes African-accented English and Afrikaans-accented English groups. What you’ll be doing • Transcribe conversations and add accurate timestamps. • Flag unclear speech, audio problems and speaker-identification issues. • Apply the same transcription conventions consistently across a set of recordings. Who this could suit Freelance or professional transcription specialists who understand the accent group they apply for. Captioning or AI data experience is useful. What you’ll need Previous transcription or transcription-quality experience, reliable internet, careful listening and availability for a short deadline. Afrikaans fluency is required for the Afrikaans group. The listing names Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Cameroon, Botswana, Namibia and Ethiopia as eligible locations. You don’t have to match every requirement exactly. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds, levels of experience and transferable skills. Pay and working arrangements Remote hourly work paying $15–$20 per hour. The project is expected to involve around 20 hours over one to two weeks, with the possibility of more work.
