Mechanical Design Engineer — CAD & Manufacturing

Role overview Bring practical mechanical-design judgement to an AI project involving engineering drawings, CAD models and manufacturing decisions. The work draws on real experience taking designs towards production. What you’ll be doing • Create and assess 2D drawings and 3D models that communicate how parts should be manufactured. • Apply tolerances, dimensions and GD&T to make technical requirements precise. • Review engineering documentation and suggest changes that improve manufacturability. What you’ll need The source prefers extensive industry experience, strong CAD skills, knowledge of drafting standards and manufacturing processes, and clear technical communication. Familiarity with tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, Inventor, Creo or NX is relevant; FreeCAD knowledge is also useful. You don’t have to match every requirement exactly.
