Role overview Bring your editorial judgement to a project improving how AI handles book manuscripts. You will assess writing, explain what works and help shape stronger editorial guidance. What you’ll be doing • Review manuscripts for structure, voice, clarity and consistency. • Suggest line edits, copyedits and changes to content where needed. • Write constructive editorial notes and help develop quality guidelines. Who this could suit Experienced book editors, particularly those who have worked on published titles for established authors or publishers. Work on recognised or award-winning books is a plus. What you’ll need Strong command of English and literary style, substantial manuscript-editing experience, and the ability to explain nuanced decisions clearly to remote collaborators. Pay and working arrangements Remote contractor work paying $80–$120 per hour. US-based editors are preferred; the listing also considers highly qualified applicants elsewhere.
