Embedded Software & Firmware Expert — AI Evaluation

Role overview Use your experience building software for real hardware to evaluate AI engineering work. The project needs practitioners who understand how firmware, embedded code and programmable logic behave outside an isolated software example, including the constraints that affect reliability in deployed systems. What you’ll be doing • Review embedded firmware, FPGA designs, flight software or hardware-test automation within your area of expertise. • Assess timing, memory, interfaces, concurrency and reliability trade-offs in proposed solutions. • Identify race conditions, hardware-related bugs and explanations that overlook real operating constraints. • Create reference implementations, test cases and grading criteria that demonstrate a sound engineering approach. Who this could suit Engineers with deep expertise in at least one relevant area: embedded or RTOS development, FPGA and RTL work, flight or safety-critical software, or hardware-in-the-loop testing. A background at a hardware manufacturer is preferred. What you’ll need At least five years of professional software, firmware, FPGA or embedded engineering experience, including three recent years of hands-on work with real hardware. You should have held responsibility through design, bring-up, validation or deployment. Relevant tools may include C/C++, Python, RTOS, embedded Linux, drivers and buses, or hardware-description languages, depending on your specialism. Practical debugging with tools such as JTAG, logic analysers, oscilloscopes or HIL/SIL setups is relevant. The listing specifies a bachelor’s degree as its education level.
