Role overview
Use your software engineering experience to judge whether AI-produced work would be useful in a professional setting. This project centres on the quality of presentations, spreadsheets and documents used in engineering work, with detailed feedback helping researchers identify where AI needs to improve.
What you’ll be doing
• Review AI-generated slides, spreadsheets and written documents against realistic software engineering needs.
• Identify factual mistakes, weak technical reasoning and content that would be difficult to use in practice.
• Assess presentation, layout and visual consistency alongside the accuracy of the material.
• Write structured feedback that clearly explains each issue and the changes needed to improve the deliverable.
Who this could suit
Experienced software engineers who can assess professional work beyond code and communicate a considered judgement. A relevant advanced degree is preferred, and the listing specifies a bachelor’s degree as its education level.
What you’ll need
At least five years of software engineering experience at a leading firm in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. This requirement concerns your professional experience, rather than a stated current-residence restriction. You will also need native-level or professional English and strong practical skills with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, including presentations, spreadsheets and documents.
You don’t have to match every requirement exactly. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds, levels of experience and transferable skills.
Pay and working arrangements
Remote contract work paying $100–$150 per hour. Weekly hours and the overall project duration are not specified; confirm the expected commitment during onboarding.
