Systems & Integration Engineering Expert

Role overview Use practical systems and integration engineering experience to help evaluate difficult technical work involving physical products and AI research. The project calls for engineers who have personally integrated, tested and troubleshot complex hardware. What you’ll be doing • Review requirements, interfaces, integration plans and verification approaches for real hardware systems. • Assess test procedures, reliability analyses, failure investigations and production test workflows. • Identify weak assumptions, coverage gaps and root causes across electrical, mechanical, firmware and manufacturing work. • Develop or review technical problems, reference solutions and evaluation criteria, with clear written explanations. Who this could suit Systems, integration, reliability and test engineers who have owned meaningful portions of a physical product’s development and validation. Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductors, robotics, energy, industrial or medical devices may be relevant. What you’ll need At least five years of professional systems, integration, reliability or test engineering experience, including three recent years of hands-on hardware integration, validation, qualification, failure analysis, manufacturing test or troubleshooting. You should have been responsible for substantial technical work on complex physical systems, have deep expertise in at least one of those domains, and be able to explain engineering decisions and failure mechanisms clearly. Purely managerial experience does not meet the hands-on requirement. You don’t have to match every requirement exactly. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds, levels of experience and transferable skills. Pay and working arrangements Remote hourly contract work paying $100–$120 per hour.
