Role overview
Help AI systems learn how people complete real parametric CAD tasks using FreeCAD. You will devise practical assignments, demonstrate them on your computer and provide enough documentation for a reviewer to follow the work.
What you’ll be doing
- Create task briefs that reflect realistic uses of FreeCAD.
- For example, create and constrain a sketch, develop a part, produce a technical drawing and check a model or export for common problems.
- Prepare the software, source files, access and references, then record the workflow from start to finish.
- Document the goal, steps and result, and check the recording and supporting notes for completeness and clarity.
Who this could suit
People who regularly use FreeCAD for parametric CAD and can turn that practical knowledge into clear demonstrations. Related professional experience can help you design useful examples.
What you’ll need
Experience with Sketcher, constraints, Part Design, the Part workbench, bodies, pads, pockets, booleans, TechDraw and exports. You need a working FreeCAD installation, sample files and relevant drawing or dimensional references. English at B2 level or above is required for instructions, documentation and communication. You should be comfortable managing files and software, recording your screen, following detailed guidance and reviewing your own work carefully. Consistent, self-directed delivery is important.
You don’t have to match every requirement exactly. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds, levels of experience and transferable skills.
Pay and working arrangements
