French Transcription & Annotation Specialist

RemoteWriting & language · Experienced15 openings

Role overview

Improve the reliability of French speech data used in AI training. You will check machine-generated transcripts against the recordings, correct missed details and add the annotations needed to make the data useful.

What you’ll be doing

  • Listen to French recordings and correct transcription errors without losing the meaning or context.
  • Identify dialect features, subtle speech details and mistakes overlooked by automated tools.
  • Add the required metadata and linguistic annotations to transcripts.
  • Give clear feedback on quality issues and follow shared standards across assignments.
  • Manage remote submissions carefully so the work is accurate and delivered on time.

Who this could suit

French transcription, linguistic review or localisation professionals who have experience refining machine-generated text.

What you’ll need

The preferred profile includes native-level spoken and written French, transcription experience, and familiarity with metadata tagging and annotation. Professional English is expected for communication. You should be comfortable working independently and checking fine linguistic detail. Experience with language technology, audio review or distributed teams is useful. Prior AI work is not required and no degree requirement is stated.

You don’t have to match every requirement exactly. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds, levels of experience and transferable skills.

Pay and working arrangements

Remote contractor work paying $20–$36 per hour. Weekly hours, project duration and payment frequency are not specified.
