Role overview
Guide a remote review team working on Nepali-language AI training data. The role combines detailed language assessment with practical support for trainers, quality reviewers and the documentation they use.
What you’ll be doing
- Review Nepali outputs for accuracy, fluency, grammar, meaning, tone, cultural fit and adherence to the task instructions.
- Give clear feedback, answer questions about Nepali usage and scoring guidance, and escalate repeated translation or quality problems.
- Share project updates and follow up with contributors to support consistent participation.
- Maintain language guidance, examples, trackers, calibration tasks and onboarding resources.
- Run onboarding sessions and help reviewers apply the same standards as project instructions evolve.
Who this could suit
Nepali editors, translators, localisation specialists and language quality reviewers with experience supporting other contributors. Prior remote team leadership, AI training or language evaluation work is an advantage.
What you’ll need
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nepali, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, quality assurance or a relevant related field. Native or near-native written Nepali, strong English and at least three years of relevant writing, editing, translation, localisation, language QA, education or annotation experience are required. You should understand Devanagari, Nepali grammar, honorifics, register and cultural context, and be able to identify mistranslation, unnatural phrasing and inconsistent terminology. Strong organisation, detailed written feedback and confidence with shared documents, spreadsheets, Discord and project trackers are important. Experience leading or supporting remote language teams is strongly preferred.

Pay and working arrangements
Remote hourly contractor role paying up to $20 per hour. Eligible locations are Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal. Weekly hours are not stated.
